  Went into the greenhouse cafe this afternoon with a friend for lunch and asked for sausage BEANS and chips and my friend asked for macaroni and cheese from the children's menu. It didn't take that long for it to come which was good but we realised when they handed the food to us we weren't given knife and forks. What was also strange was I asked clearly for sausage beans and chips but was not given any beans we then asked why and they gave me the beans once I had just about finished my meal. The sausages well only 2 sausages cut in half and must of been out of date because they were hard and chewy and I was only given at least 5 maybe 6 chips which costed £4:25 for nothing and it was not presented neatly at all it looked like someone had ate half of my meal. We then realised that my friend had clearly asked for macaroni and cheese with chips from the children not the adults the children's menu but was given a adult meal costing her £8.Also the older staff were walking around giving us and others dirty looks and not doing there job just chatting.if You want to pay for a nice meal and not waste your money I recommend other cafes and restaurants in Melrose x

  Stopped here for lunch during cycle outing from peebles 13 of us. Seated us easly. Service great and good great. Do stop here if I'm Melrose

  Been in on three seperate occassions so far & service & food been pretty consistently good.........Busy place at lunch time & staff not stressed & all going well........Great wee place PS: Lemon drizzle cake is yum & the Decaf Coffee is ace
